In a recent article in Cosmopolitan magazine, the largest magazine that targets the female demographic stated that over 55% of women in the U.S. have tried some form of online dating.
It has become extremely popular, because it works. Over 25 million people visited online dating sites in January 2009, according to statistics pulled from JupitarMediaMetrics.
If over 55% of U.S. women have tried Online Dating you can only imagine how many are out there looking right now.
So where are they and why haven’t you met them yet? Finding women on Match.com, eHarmony.com, Chemistry.com, Singlesnet.com or adultfriendfinder.com, is not the difficult part at all. Figuring out how to intrigue their interest and get a response from them is the hard part. This thought process begins the second she sees your profile. What do people look at first? Your picture! I can’t tell you how important it is to take your time when selecting a picture to use for your online dating profile. Cory can be reckless in this department due to the sex appeal that oozes out of all of his images. However, most people are not like me. Make sure to envision what it is that your picture says about you. The old saying "A picture says a thousand words" is an understatement. It WILL mean the difference of getting a date or staying home alone on a Friday night. Follow my image guidelines below:

Step 1: Always smile in your photos. You may think you’re serious look is sexy but she thinks it’s creepy.

Step 2: Make sure to take a picture with the right background. Don’t take the creepy "Man in the mirror photo" and then try to pass it off as if your Ex took it lol. Go someplace exciting, a place she would love to go! This makes you come across as a person who likes to go places and do things, you like adventure, you’re classy and you’re intriguing.

Step 3: Keep it fresh, Cory doesn’t leave the same image up for more than a month. On the other hand don’t change it every day or you will risk looking like the guy that never leaves his computer.
The purpose of saying a thousand words with your images is to avoid the junior high back and forth chit chat that most men mistakenly waste time doing. This gets very boring very fast. Your image can answer a lot of questions without making her ask them. This will show that you’re interested in learning more about her. You’re sparking her interest with your photos while at the same time creating an element of mystery.
The next bit of advice is very important. Do not brag or boast! Your pictures already did that. Now is your chance to come across as the man with the perfect life while at the same time being humble. When you act like everyone’s life is as great as yours you have reached a new level of confidence. Cory doesn’t recommend lying but emphasizing your strong points is always a good idea. Being humble is great but you do not need to put your weaknesses in the spotlight either. Women don’t dream about doormats, they dream about the doormats bank account;)
One last and final point before Cory steps away to respond to his women: When meeting people through an online dating site, always remember that you are all there for the same purpose. It can be very daunting trying to pick up a women at bar but it’s simply not the case online. Always think that they are just as lucky to find you as you are to find them. Remember, confidence is key and if you can obtain just a tenth of the confidence Cory has you will be swamped with Emails;)
